It’s (FINALLY) honeymoon time – and if the title hasn’t given it away Luke & I are off to Bora Bora aka paradise and the home of Moana! And I can’t wait!
It’s been a very long time coming, since Luke & I got married back in January. There’s a few reasons behind that which you can read about in one of my previous blog post – https://lifestylelisa.com/2022/08/22/honeymoon-destination/https://lifestylelisa.com/2022/08/22/honeymoon-destination/
But now the wait is finally over and in a few short hours we will be airborne and making our way to LAX!
So why Bora Bora right? Well why not? Luke & I are a very outside the box couple and so when I know lots of people who have been to certain amazing destinations it kind of puts me off of going there. I like to make my own adventures and try to find places where I don’t know anyone who’s been there (yet) And to be honest Bora Bora is a bucket list destination and one I’m sure I’ll only travel to once so why not do it for our honeymoon!!
The journey is going to be long – like 24 hours long (yawn) I hope the inflight entertainment is good!! And if they have a Christmas movie section then I will be in my element! I have my DS so that I can play animal crossing until my little heart is content, I have a phone full of music, and I’ve also packed snacks (of course!)
It’s a little weird leaving the UK during the most wonderful time of the year, and of course I’m also leaving Hunter for the longest time yet. And yes there has been a few tears on my part, because I’m going to miss him so much. But he is safe and sound and getting showered with love and attention from my mum & dad, my dad who is also house sitting for us (you guys are awesome)
Anyways – moving on because BORA BORA here I come! here’s the travel itinerary
Thursday 1st December We stayed overnight at the Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow.
Friday 2nd December Depart Heathrow at 2.45pm
Friday 2nd Arrive at LAX at 6.20pm
5 hour stop over (I wonder if there’s a Bath & Body Works at LAX)
Friday 2nd Depart at 10.55pm from LAX
Saturday 3rd December Arrive at Papeete at 5.05am
Ferry from Papeete to Mo’orea
Check in at the Hilton Mo’rea Lagoon resort and spa 5 nights 3rd – 8th December
8th December Mo’rea to Bora Bora via plane
Check in The Conrad Bora Bora Nui 8th 13th December delux over water Villa!
There’s no set itinerary, but Luke & I are hoping to pack in as much as possible!!
