Hi, and Happy Tuesday!! the weekend once again went super quick!! I hope you all had a FAB weekend, and all you dad’s out there had a great Fathers day.

I just wanted to do a quick blog of my weekend!!

As I mentioned in my last blog Luke and I were in Norfolk for the weekend to spend some time with his family and celebrate his sister Charlotte’s birthday. I got home late afternoon on Sunday to see my dad and  sit down with him and have a quorn chillie (made by my mum) and give him his gifts, which he seemed to like, although he is so difficult to by for you never can tell! (anyone else have that problem?)

Norfolk was as usual lovely, Luke and I arrived about 9.30pm, just in time for a pink gin or two…  it was a relatively mild evening so we spent the rest of the evening putting the world to rights whilst sitting outside.

Luke’s parents have a lovely place in the very picturesque village of horning, I always feel so relaxed and chilled when I am there, and get the best night’s sleep too!! Saturday day for Luke and I was spent in Wroxham getting a few bits before heading out on the boat late afternoon for a couple of hours.

Just a very short 2 minute walk away from the house is Pedro’s restaurant, which is a Mexican tapas style restaurant, and of course was the ideal place for us to all have dinner. It’s the second time I have eaten here at Pedro’s, it’s never too busy (when I have been) the food is cooked fresh and is pretty tasty too, I would recommend it to anyone visiting Horning.

Sunday morning we ventured over to the Wroxam Barnes, Norfolk’s award-winning visitor attraction where there really is so much to see and do, with a few craft shops, a restaurant, and a coffee shop, and that’s just for starters! How about visiting the  Junior Farm with a daily programme of activities where you can groom, cuddle and bottle-feed animals. And that’s not all they even have a traditional funfair (seasonal opening) that will keep the younger visitors entertained.

I have to say I wasn’t appropriately dressed for a morning at the Barnes and my Louis Vuitton didn’t appreciate it, BUT I absolutely LOVED the time I spent hereFor any of you who follow my blog, or know me personally will know how much I LOVE animals. I am an animal lover through and through and I don’t eat meat because of my love for animals. I love petting zoo’s and anywhere where there is a lot of animal interaction, so IMAGINE my DELIGHT when we got there and I learnt I could feed a baby lamb, YES something I have always wanted to do!! YES I am easily pleased but I have to say it was one of my favourite experiences! and it didn’t end there, later on during my visit, I got hold a 4 day old chick, seriously bucket list complete!! (kidding, but I enjoyed it).

I didn’t even know this place existed, needless to say I am going to want to go more often now i know it’s there, I must remember to dress more appropriately next time though, old clothes and wellies!! Luke and I only spent a few hours here, but I could have easily spent longer, next time right Luke?……..

I love weekends that turn out to be more spontaneous than you thought they would be, I had a wonderful time, and once again can’t believe just how quickly it went!!

Oh well roll on the next one!!

Enjoy your week everyone
