Hello Monday! You crept up on me pretty quick as per usual!! WHY do weekends go SO quick!!!Back to work for me today, with a busy week ahead.
However I did have a lovely weekend– a catch up with one of the best friends, a cheeky Nando’s and cinema to watch Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. Now I’m not a film critic, and I definitely don’t want to give anything away about this film, so I will say definitely go and see it, there were parts of the film that I absolutely loved, and parts I was a little disappointed in, all in all though it gets a thumbs up from me (but I am a huge fan of the franchise)
Sunday- We finished off the weekend with a lovely family traditional roast made by my mum. I LOVE my mums roast, they always taste so delicious, and as I’m a veggie she makes sure there are plenty of vegetables for me to tuck into.
Actually being a vegetarian that is one thing that really annoys me about going out on a Sunday to eat a roast in a pub or restaurant. On the menu there is never an option for a plate of vegetables and gravy, it’s always some goats cheese tart or roasted pepper and butternut squash gratin , which I don’t have a problem with, but sometimes all I really want is a big plate of vegetables and some gravy that hasn’t been made with meat juices!! Luckily my mum is a winner at a dinner like that. And what better way to finish off a lovely dinner than by a healthy fruit salad!! I was definitely felling full by the end of the meal!
We like to celebrate a Sunday with a selfie as you can see below!! I think Luke is starting to feel more like his old self again, which I am pleased about, his nose is still a bit sore and swollen from the op on Thursday , but he’s a trooper and doing a lot better than I would be doing.
All that was left to do on a Sunday evening was to snuggle up, have a cuddle, make a cup of tea and watch love island!
Hope you all had a great weekend, and happy Monday!!
