I couldn’t start off this post without saying HAPPY JULY!! And now it’s July (officially summer season right?) Could it be that summer finally has at last arrived here in the UK? I don’t want to jinx it or anything but it’s certainly feeling that the season is once again beginning to change. And whilst embracing summer doesn’t mean that I’m still not patiently awaiting the arrival of autumn, I can’t deny that the summer sun sure does feel fine.

I feel like a broken record when I say this, but this year is just flying by, I mean here we are the first day of July, before too long the shops will be stocked with all things spooky and autumnal (just me doing a little happy dance about this)

But enough with autumn for now because right at this very moment the warm weather is all I really care about. It’s been amazing to finally put away the coats, jackets, trousers and long sleeve tops and start wearing what I like to call “cute” clothes –

*summer dresses,

*skirts,

*playsuits (my favourite)

*cool summer jumpsuits.

It’s the nicest feeling when the sun hits your skin, after months of covering up in heavy winter wear.

Summer is also a chance to switch up my perfumes and swap the heavier oud scents in favour of light floral scents – my favourites this year are –

*Ralph Lauren Romance

*Dolce & Gabbana Dole Rose

*Christian Dior Dioriviera

*Prada Infusion De Rose

*Dior Miss Dior Rose “n Roses

*Bvlgari Splendida Rose

*Chloe Love Story

*Valentino Donna

*Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb

*Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede

I just love adding new perfumes to my ever growing collection. Although I do struggle choosing a perfume each day. I like to choose one that compliments my mood, outfit, hair and makeup.

Summer of course also brings those warm balmy evenings and light nights which are perfect for a spot of alfresco dining after a long day at work. I am honestly all about the hummus and crunchy vegetables at the moment, paired with a glass of iced jasmine green tea. Honestly it’s the perfect pairing.

The morning dog walks look so pretty with lush greenery and beautiful wild flowers, and it’s nice to take Hunter out and not freeze like I have done for the first part of the year. Although the minor annoyance is of course not being able to take Hunter out on his afternoon dog walk due to the heat. And he likes to let me know just how unhappy he is about that, by getting super vocal and having an argument with me.

Not walking Hunter in the afternoon doesn’t stop me from getting out and getting some fresh air. I have to step away from desk my get outside and just breath! Take a little walk smell some flowers (seriously I do that!) then I return to work with a clearer head. Also not having Hunter at lunch time means I can snap some photos of the beautiful countryside.

I’m kind of excited to see what July brings, I’m hoping for lots of warm weather and an all round good month.

Thanks for reading & Happy Monday
