After falling asleep the night before at around 9.30ish Luke and I were up at 6.30am and out of the door by 7.30am (and there wasn’t a single lightening lane/virtual queue in sight!) But jet lag was seriously giving me a run for my money!
I was looking forward to another hot and sunny day in Sydney so imagine my absolute shock when I looked out of the hotel window and I saw wind and rain! Yes it seems that over night a tropical storm had descended over Sydney and it was a wet, windy and a seriously cold day. I’m not exaggerating either I stepped out of the hotel and instantly got hit by this chilly air! I mean to be fair I am cold girl at the best of times, but even Luke agreed that it was cold. Plus still being jet lagged and tired made it feel so much colder.
Anyways not letting the semi artic (massive exaggeration) conditions stop us. After a healthy breakfast at Wahlburgers (I just love these breakfasts, seriously my favourite meal of the day by far!) it was off on a day of rainy adventures. But honestly I was so hear for it, as a couple Luke and I really aren’t the types to waste the day and indulge in lay-ins (which don’t get me wrong I’m all for a lay in on any given weekend back home) but when you find yourself in such a beautiful city you want to do and see as much a possible. And with my time in Sydney coming to an end very soon I didn’t want to miss a thing.
The wet, cold and rainy Tuesday day saw Luke and I embark on an adventure that took us too
Manly Beach
Watsons Bay
Rose Bay
Bondi Beach
Places are really easy to get too in Sydney, Luke and I ended up taking water taxis to all of our destinations. We didn’t spend long at each place, but at least we can say we did them. My blisters for anyone interested were okay, but I was definitely struggling to walk, although pleased to say that I did keep my moaning to a minimum. Even after walking 9 miles and doing 22,886 steps!
We wrapped up the day with dinner at Adria (highly recommended restaurant situated on the darling harbour) which we ate in around 30 minutes before heading back to the room for sleep! The jet lag was just so hard, it definitely started to hit us from 5pm onwards! So after a busy day my bed was calling.
