It may only be Monday but the Easter weekend is nearly here (4 day week!) and I for one cannot wait to get away for a long weekend with the family.

I love family time and it’ll be nice to spend time with both my parents and Nan as well as Luke’s parents. And really what better way to all spend some quality time together than by packing up the cars and heading 4 hrs and 40 mins north/west to North Wales! Which is exactly what we are doing this Easter 30/03/2018)

Luke and I along with his parents are leaving Thursday night after work, we have a hotel booked in Shrewsbury which is roughly half way.

Our plan is to leave very early Friday morning and head straight to mount Snowdon which we will hopefully fingers crossed walk up, at the moment this is all very weather permitting though. If all goes to plan I’ve heard that it takes around 6 hours to climb, 3 up and 3 down, which should see us finishing around midday. Perfect timing to meet up with my family and check into our cottage!

We have a cottage (with a private hot tub) booked on a working farm which is situated in the pretty countryside within the Snowdonia National Park, near Rhyd-Uchaf.

I am hoping for spring weather while I’m away, but won’t hold my breath, I’ll settle for it just being dry! And maybe no more snow!

We haven’t got much planned at the moment, except for Luke who has booked Velocity (the longest zip line in Europe and the fastest in the world) whilst we are there (and of course climbing Snowdon). Other than that we will take each day as it comes and find something to do. There’s no itinerary on this trip! We may all even get a little lay in!!

Whatever we do I will enjoy the time simply spent with family, with lots of laughter food and drink.
