The time has come for Luke and I to finally start putting the plans together for our Seychelles vacation in September. Of course if you have been following my blogs at lifestylelisa.com you will know by now that I am a self confessed planner, I plan right down to smallest detail.

The past 3 years we have spent vacationing in Florida and visiting Walt Disney World which required an awful lot of planning. This year it’s a little different for us!

The Seychelles is a new destination for us both, and so far does not require the same attention to detail that a WDW vacation does. That doesn’t mean that you can’t plan for the Seychelles though, right?!

Cue the YouTube vlogs and countless blogs that we are starting to watch and read!! Which are giving us a wonderful insight on what to do in the Seychelles.

We have around 11 days here, which means we don’t want to waste anytime pondering over what to do on certain days!

By the time Luke and I boarded our Virgin Atlantic flight home last year from Orlando to Gatwick, we were absolutely shattered from the amount we had packed in on our 2 week non stop vacation!!

With that in mind we are being extra careful to include a bit of down time this year, time to chill out around the pool and on the beach and work a little on the tan!!

We are staying on Mahé island which is the largest island of Seychelles, lying in the northeast of the nation in the Indian Ocean.

The island itself is divided into east and west by the Morne Seychellois National Park, a mountain range with peaks as high as 905 metres surrounded by thick tropical forests, I for one cannot wait to spend a day exploring those!

Amongst other things I am keen to to visit the islands capital Victoria and the village markets they have their.

There is an island where giant tortoises roam freely (just leave me there all day) And we will most definitely do a lot of snorkelling!

I am most definitely looking forward to a slower paced holiday this year, and excited to visit somewhere completely new, and dare I say it, a little less commercialised. Although let’s keep it real here, I would jump at a chance to go back to Florida this year!

I am very keen to hear from anyone who has visited the Seychelles, who can give me any tips and advice, you can now email me direct at [email protected]

Well this is all for now, I need to get planning!!
